From our exclusive interview with Mark Kratzmann.

Ever had to play a mate, close friend or even a sibling?
We caught up with former World number 1 Junior and Australian Davis Cup Player Mark Kratzmann for his insight in tackling this often awkward situation.

“Yeah it’s awkward, it doesn’t feel comfortable because it’s a war you want to win; you want to go to the next round. And you want to have another shot at the next one but it’s your mate. So  I eventually learned how to put it out of my mind and I used to just focus on the ball.  I’m not even looking at the other end. I am just playing that ball; it is coming back and forth. That’s how I got over that. That’s was all I used to say to myself, “Just play the ball, play that next ball, play the next one.”
